Our Mission

To provide musical expression to the church community that will reach the inner lives of both performers and congregants, and inspire all to more fully connect with one another and with God. Our music program consists of diverse choral groups as well as an abundance of talented soloists, pianists and other accomplished musicians. One Sunday band, Namaste', plays at least two Sundays a month. Another group plays twice a month and features many talented members of our congregation who often perform original material. When you come to Unity of Gaithersburg you can expect that there will be an enjoyable musical experience available for everyone. We have everything from rock and roll to classical and from jazz to pop to New Thought music. In addition to our continually growing musical community, we also have a large pool of other performers. This includes the Theatre of the Spirit, an acting and performance group; a dance troupe; storytellers; drummers; and more. We are very blessed by this enormous resource of talent. In the creative, supportive and appreciative environment of Unity of Gaithersburg, our performers are given a chance to express themselves creatively, and the audience is given the opportunity to be entertained, spiritually nourished, and uplifted by the experience. Theater of the Spirit

Actors and readers are invited to join UCC's own acting group. Our activities range from scripture readings, skits, and scenes to help illustrate the Sunday lessons to the fun of supplying humor and a story line for annual spring Cabaret.
